Seriously, i doubt anyone will read my blog anymore, correct me if i am wrong =p

Today, i realise i am really missing out alot in all my friends' life in cyber world, yes, i dun have a facebook or twitter account yet and the tweety birds are really getting impatient about this, haha.

Until the first hour of 2009 passed, there is still not a single item on my new year's resolution list. Incredibly, its the 10mins cabbie ride back home with the most amazing taxi-uncle that i have ever met that complete this list.

1. Not once have i ever heard someone make any pleasant remark abt my laughter, but this 60plus uncle actually thinks my laughter is hilarious and contagious?! (definitely weird)

2. "Do u dream?" for a split second i tot the uncle asked if i dream in my sleeps... where on earth to find someone to ask such a only-in-the-movie kind of question? Ironically, its coincide with the movie that I just watched over the year, Bedtime Stories !

3. All my years of taking cab, its always me giving the uncle tips but not the other way round. Yes, the uncle give me more change than what its supposed to be.

U can probabaly guess my list by now:
- Be happy! Laugh more and nv be stingy with ur compliments for ppl, it really make someone's day!
- Nv fear to dream! Yes, dream! (incl. day-dreaming rite?!)
- Go easy with money. Yes, its always good to have a respectable amt of wealth but nv be too hard on urself... work-life balance!

I hope u have ur list ready too by now =)

Ok, a little recap on my 2008. Definitely one of my buzzier year so far but nth to regret. Learned alot of new stuffs that schools nv taught, cherish the ppl ard me more & pampered myself like nv before (now got purchasing power already mah). haha

Definitely looking forward to 2009, a challenging financial year like some may have called. With my newly trimmed hair and cellphone, maybe I should consider arming myself with a Chanel 2.55, Ferragamo Varina & a Juicy Couture timepiece to be fully ready! heh heh heh

Its definitely one of thevery gloomy day where tense and suspense hang in the air. The atmosphere make so unbearable to concentrate on anything. People gossiping in some groups and wailing could be heard. What more can we expect? From the collapse of an FI that leads to heaps of complaints, leading to financial crisis, no bonus... now retrenchment. Many say that the worst has yet to come... Things are definitely changing from now on. Wish us luck in the 2nd round tmr.... =(

i learn that caffeine really keeps me awake

I am back, from Dayang. There was a sudden change of destination, anyway not much photos to share too. Its hard to take much picture since most of the time we are under water =)

We departed from Marsiling at 8pm and only reach Dayang at 5am! see the number of cylinders prepared for the day's trip. The 'resort' is very simple, only a double deck, that's it!

8am, we are all prepared for the first dive... Saturday morning's weather was fantastic for diving.
However, it wasnt as smooth for me, i had a hard time adapting to breathing through my mouth, clearing my mask and swimming through the sea. Well, its been a year ago since i last dive and i dun noe how to swim.. haha

That night a thunderstorm came along. Its a thunderstorm THUNDERSTORM. Just like those you see in cartoons, clothes flying off the strings, chairs being blown away, windows slamming against the wall, trees swaying, waves.... etc.. and then just like any other ending... Power Trip! ha ha ha

(not until we reach SIN today then we know that The Philipines is having a typhoon that night =x)

The thunderstorm carry on all the way till Sunday's morning, thus we have to postpone our dive from 6 to 730am. We had 2 dives today and my condition is better. Finally manage to enjoy the dive properly =)

I strongly recommend everyone to learn diving. I nv used to like or hate the sea but after my first trip, the exprience is incredible, its really something u cant imagine until you try it yourself. Its a big colour garden (with mountains even) with schools of fishes and colourful corals around you. Its wow~~~ =)

After these dives, i had a conclusion.

Mother Nature is really fair. What she had created for human beings on the land, she had created an equally beautiful world beneath the horizon.

When is the last time u feel "enlightened"? For me, its been very very long but today, i am somehow enlightened by a friend, a very good friend =)

I think i just have to admit that i am look damn bad these days since almost ALL my friends are telling me that.. =x
this is the most common phrase "have u been working late again? u looked damn tired!", they have been expressing their love for me in a very different way too, like " PLEASE GO HOME NOW, NOW!!" wahaha

Obviously everyone knows that there is a problem between me and my work, something is wrong someway, but where? yy is not the same old yy anymore, can u imagine, my last complete korean drama is actually coffee prince? last half-watched english drama is heroes (season 1 only lor!) and prison break 2 (which i borrow from chole for a zillion years alr!)

yesh, xiuping remind me all the answers to these that boss had already identified for me long time ago...

Yup, sad to say but i have to declare, i am the culprit of over-working myself.

Reminder 1. Learn to let go
I have been taking ppl's work like mine, spending too much time thinking for others but not for myself. I aspire to answer all the enquiries shoot to me (my phone rings like every 5 mins), to clear all the emails before i leave the office (i have an average of 100 emails each day), to clear all my mails everyday too (average of 3 letters each day).

But most of the time, the requestors themselves could have solve the problems w/o coming to me! Maybe its because i started as a temp, thus i felt obliged to do whatever that is thrown to me, ,,,even now,,,, which is very wrong! I shouldnt be spoon-feeding them any more, or rather i should be worrying for them anymore.

Reminder 2. Juggling my crystal and rubber balls
Then will everyone change their opinion of me? No longer the kind little girl? I am not exactly willing to unleash the ugly side of me, but apparently there isnt a choice for this. eventually, i will be too worn out to treat everyone so nicely. Thus before i collapse, i should learn to differentiate the degree of importance in every matters. yes, not everything will required my tender-loving-care, some things i should just HACK-CARE.

Reminder 3. Where do u see urself 5 yrs down the road?
Beside looking tired, xp can sense that i am lost too. Worst than the time when i just graduated. i have to admit, the level of uncertainty and aimlessness is really higher than before. During my coffee with boss, i really cant answer this qn. "At home watching dvds would be perfect" i tot to myself =x
ya, we have been whining all sorts of excuses about no job satisfaction... blah... But do u really know what u want? I don't. I don't think i will ever know too since this is one of the qn that have been bugging me since JC. But she's right and i agree, maybe the motivation we need, the satisfaction that we are looking for, the joy in working will only be there when we are clear about what we want.

Haiz, what can i say? Boss is right, probaly always right. i am really thankful for the opportunities given and i believe the only way to prove that she is right again (in hiring me!) is to start changing myself.

My mum and dad (@''@)v Time really flies.... its already 4 years since we first met each other at Sentosa. Yea, the "Warlords"! Because of them, uni-days become more exciting. I miss the days where we will meet up for lunch, but will need to take a very long time to search a long table to accomodate all of us, the KTV session throughout the night, our wednesday clubbing night and skipping of Thursdays' morning lecture, studying hard for exams, sleeping in lectures ( or only me? haha)... etc...

We have come a long way and have embark into a new phase in life. Thanks everyone for being there, hope we will keep in touch and accompany each other through the ups and down in each other's life =)

Later that night, we gathered again for our usual pastime. Clubbing of cuz haha. Its my first time to St James Power Station... Err the music in Powerhouse really cmi la..

We opened 2 bottle of Hennessy and we finished 1 and a half bottle of it, 7 of us only! hahaha i cheated abit la, drank much lesser than them.. keke. We actually stayed through the night, till 4pm! By then, its only me (who is realatively sober), GengQin (aka Liuge who is already as pale as a white paper), Deqi (who can look sober on the outside only haha), Dom (dancing very happily haha), Eugene (danicing with Dom too haha).

On the way back, I become the 'replacement' driver and drove Dom's car through the roadblock. But , u all must understand la, its been 1 year since i touch a manual car already, its forgiveable to 'die' car twice la.. hahahaha (at that moment, i think i can hear Dom's heart pounding very hard keke). Keke, I think my driving somehow wake every one up too. hahaha.
All in all, its have been a really joyful day. From the moment me and my parents set off to the school, the moment i see my friends, the moment i wore the gown, the moment i enter the hall, the moment i step up to the stage, the moment i see my dad happily taking pictures for me.. hahaha.. its an amazing feeling.

Something that i promised Xinyan that I will remember, the moment i wear my gown, dunno whether is it due to the weight of it, the moment it laid on my shoulder, it just feels like new responsiblities are now on my shoulder, Its like a soldier getting ready for war.. haha abit kua zhang la.. but i know new exciting things are lying ahead waiting for us to experience =)

CBD seems to have alot of Ramen house. This is one at the Robinson Walk (next to yakun). The chef is a Japanese and the ramens are handmade.

Thhe noodle is very different from the usual ramen outside, slighter softer and very delicious!

moving on from the first phase of working life where i complaint about how much i dread/hate working, how much i missed the good old student life, how much i have neglected my friends and family, how much i have missed out... ... ...

the second phase is all about emptiness.
Yes, nowadays i dun really feel much about everything. The "one bitten, twice shy" is working on me.
When u've been through it once, the immune system seems to build up automatically.

To my friends:
I am really sorry for not/late in responding to all the emails, sms, phone calls. Because i really have no time.

Yesh i know "no time = poor time management = excuses" hahaha i guess i really manage my time very poorly then because i hasnt washed my hair for the past 3 days! wahahahaha (ya i noe u will go 'eeeeeeeeeeee!') shhhhh~ keep it to yourself! :X

Have been working till late almost everyday, (hmm, occasionally late in the morning too).
Been dreaming abt work alot too. can i call them nightmares? haha

i guess the real Nightmare will be here very soon. I cant imagine and i dun wish to. Forgive me for not being able to disclose it here. (yes, i get very bothered by the fact that blog doesnt allow me to express everything. maybe i shall just switch back to the traditional penning down of thoughts...)

Maybe its the aftermath of having spent most of my primary to secondary school's sunday at the tuition centre. Maybe its like saying byebye to restday. Getting lazier and lazier to blog, i guess alot of my frens are feeling the same way haha ( i am seeing less of their posts too).

Work is getting increasingly challenging, i REALLY am only a freshgrad. Even with quite afew job experiences, there is sooo much to learn! So much to absorb, so much to adapt.

this is the diary that i have been writing for all my university life. its a gift from my SP aka secret pal from our orientation camp. and so, i finally wrote my last entry ytd night, one that i have delaying/postponing/avoiding.

writing this last entry somehow symbolise that i am no longer a student, not longer what i used to be/ or can be. As a matter of fact, we have long passed the age where we can take ignorance as an excuse. People see me as an adult now, even if i am still denying this solid fact. Sad.

Stepping into this legendary social university, working in this cut-throat industry, dealing with people whom may affect your future or life. i'm not sure if i am ready for this, will i ever be ready? Feeling quite excited but at the same time, chickened. Argh~ I still yearn for the simple life by the mountains and sea.

i wake up early because of work. i miss breakfast because of work. i stoned throughout the travelling journey because i din sleep enuff, again because of work. i reached home like only 8pm because of work. i din get to talk much to my best listener( my xiao mei) because of work. i turn in as early as 2230 because of work. i can stay out too late during sunday night because of work.

Confused: what do i really want? this is the question that have been post to me since dunno when and now i haven figure out the answer yet! they always say: just do what u like? but can we?
well if yes, i would like to be a taitai, staying at home only to worry abt where to have dinner that night, what shows to watch & where to shop.

Dilemma: should i stay to gain experience (since my terrible result will bring me nowhere)? or try out some interesting jobs before 'settling down' to look for a serious one? go for the branding that may open more paths to me in the future but spend 6mths doing smth i dun like?

oh my, i have no idea.

somebody say: ppl always wait for someone to take them under their wings, but they should just grab anyone's when they see them passed instead of waiting.

The Latecoming Vanity of Mine

An article inside the magz shihua gave me and the thursday shopping night with elyse and yunyun, i thought of the delayed woman's nature in me.

my mum says i used to aspire to be a Miss Singapore. wahahahaha
okok i admit i did remember a little of it but scenes of the tomboy side of me are more vivid. i believe u guys remember yuying as the one i remembered myself to be, right? haha

here, let me show u how vain i *ahem* was.. hee..

see! head still must tilt here and there. =.= hahaha shock ba, this is the YY u've never seen haha

u wont believe this but i actually only start using cleanser when i enter SIM, and bought my first pot of moisturiser in the same year, after Stella's never-give-up persuading skill. haha

"putting all this creams and essenses is a waste of time and money", "why put on suncreen when u are not at the beach and slapping so much milky liquid on ur face?" yeah, i used to OS them inside me.

i guess i have been messing with the wrong ppl all this while, ranging from secondary to JC to SIM to work, my frens are all so pretty, slim and nu ren. shake head. but also thanks to them to remind myself the feminie side of me ( though still far from their standard) wahahaha

now, after all the preaching from the jie-jies, see what i have come to be today.... one level of the cabinet totally delicated to them! (plz pardon the mess hee) cleanser, toner, moisturiser, eye cream, whitening cream, AHA, suncreen, essenses, masks, lotions.... i have it all...

i know this is a pittance compared to all the seniors out here reading but at least got improvement rite? haha

though still very lazy and hackcare, its probably every girls' dream to look pretty. Aza aza fighting! to every ladies out there! hahaha ^^

--- due to the amt of junk food cum VERY little intake of vege and fruits through my life, u can roughly guess la huh!

--- i admit, my hair is overwhelmingly alot, i can understand that everyone who manage to cut it will be terribly exhausted. sad to say, after all their attempted effort, its always not an satisfying experience. :(

--- too tired from work, doze off even while watching tv

haha! i bake a cake ytd! a banana-chocolate-with-walnut cake!

the base for the cake, nicely baked!

the chocolate chip cream...

the banana that xiuping insist on putting it in the microwave first, so that it wont turn brown... and it turn black instead hahahaa (just the skin la) =.=

the HAMBUGER! (dun ask me why the top is thicker than the base, i also dunno haha)

we are so amazed that we actually just baked a cake that we kept "wow wow wow!" then slowly, the cake begin to crack.. so we try to cover the crack line with the cream... then happily put inside the fridge. i think the cake heard us and when we open the fridge again, the cake became like this! hahaha

BUT after MUCH concealing done, ta dang!! li hai ba haha

HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY TO STELLA!!

though the celebration was a little boring at first, me shihua and ismond had an unforgettable night after u and suna left haha..
we took 961, thinking that we will go all the way back to wdls to enjoy our supper, instead, we took the wrong direction and landed up in kallang =.=

but we stii manage to find a place for our supper!

curry fish head @ 1am is yummylicious haha

not forgetting, my heels is reaping my feet apart that night.. argh... yao mei bu yao ming haha

for some reasons that i cannot tell, i went down very reluctantly.

despite alot of them saying that the movie wasnt up to expectation, i tot its was nice, short and sweet:)

i just found out that one of my CO senior just gotten married and another ex-colleague of mine just given birth to a very handsome boy.

And i had a good chat with ZhiJun this afternoon too, he was out-stationed over to US since last month for work and, will be there for 2 years!

also, YY#2 is gg to Japan for holiday tmr then back to Toronto in July!

it was the BATTLE OF THE BLONDES last nite.. (though the battle alr ended half a year ago in States)

nevertheless, its was an exciting match and a very pleasant ending!
CARIDEE ENGLISH is the winner! woohooo!
i never like Melrose too, though i have to admit that she does have a very unique look and her photos are sometimes amazing hee. BUT her personality is totally off! i tot she was a little eccentric.

anyway, i am happy that caridee won. i like her personality, Twiggy call her a 'loose-canon' haha. despite her history of skin disease, she is so confident of herself! hurray!!

my frequency of clubbing is only once or twice a year (excluding during year 1 la)
yeah.. that's how 'often' i club! haha..
ytd was one of those very few crazy long nights we had. we actually left zouk at 4AM! then supper. i reached home at nearly 6AM, completely K.O.

and i am so afraid that i will run into my dad! he goes to work at this hour.. and he doesnt have a clue of where have i been. i dun tink he can take another shock after the diving's. haha.. shhhh...

though i left my computer reluctantly ytd nite.. i nv regret gg. its was fun.. the same old gang, same game, same drinks, same spot, same music, same gossip. haha that's all i can reveal.. wat happens in the club remains in the club!

and i saw Peggy (MSU participant) too! its been a loooong time ever since we talk.. haha.. still as friendly as i remembered.

i am finally back after this 3d2n diving trip..its was way cool man! but on the 1st day, its was really VERY tough, i couldnt take the water pressure on my ears, cannot decend probably. i really feel like shooting up to the surface each time, breathing thr the mouth is so... breathless!haha but the instructors are amazing.. kudos the patience they have.. i really want to thank them all!

thus, the 2nd day was better, though i knock down a very big piece of coral(they said i was too destructive to the marine world haha). BUT, the last 2 dive was good! nearly no mistake.. hee.. yeah!

oh my, this hobby can be addictive man! i have to faster save up for the next trip! haha...

went to BLK 232 AMK to have our crab feast last saturday!
i heart the crab bee hoon there! SUPER NICE!
been wanting to bring my frens there since dunno when (just like the bottletree village)
if u love crabs, u must go there haha... but warn u first, have to go early to Q and its quite expensive :p

p/s: the crab haven arrive yet, and when it come, i totally forgot abt taking pic haha..

i am missing them so much, after isolating for 1 mths plus due to exam, its a long long time since we met for KTV and korea stuffs..

had a BBQ on wed after my exam at sotong's place.
the JC class gathering... and this can be considered as the most sucessful one. 16 out of 24 turned up, including really rare people haha..

yeah, we are still stuck with the old joke of who and who together (i shall not reveal mine haha..) and our beloved E.T(form teacher) is in italy, enjoying ... the same gossips.. blah blah blah... but i loved it.. haha

towards the end, most of us are struggling with the game 'bridge'.
it require alot of brain, but my IQ is nearly the same as patrick-star on that night.. anyway, its really fun, shall teach u all next time hee..
